To change your authentication method (authenticator app or SMS authentication) in your My-Amdax account, open your account and go to the menu. Click on Settings on the right side of the screen and then navigate to the Security tab.
This method is currently only available via the web version of My-Amdax.
Before you can make any changes, you first need to enter your password. Once you have done this, you will be asked to verify your identity using your current 2FA method. This can be a code received via SMS or a code from your authenticator app.
Enter the six-digit code and confirm to proceed.
You can now choose a new authentication method. You can select an authenticator app, which is the most secure option, or SMS authentication, which is considered less secure.
After making your selection, you need to configure the new method. If you choose an authenticator app, scan the QR code with an app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator and enter the generated code to complete the setup.
If you are unable to scan the QR code, you can manually enter the setup key in your authenticator app. This code is displayed below the QR code and can be added manually in the app.

For SMS authentication, enter your phone number, and you will receive a code via SMS that you need to confirm.
Once the configuration is successfully completed, your new authentication method will be activated, and you can use it for future logins.
